The Rhode Island Judiciary Public Portal (Public Portal), which is separate from the case management system or the electronic filing system, is the point of entry for electronic access to case information from the Rhode Island Judiciary’s (Judiciary) database whether at the courthouse or remotely.

The Public Portal enables users to access information about their cases including case numbers, charges, future court dates, bench warrants, outstanding court debt and payments. To access case information, follow the link below. To search court records, click on "Smart Search" and enter the party's name in last name, first name format.

Attorneys may change their status to inactive on the online attorney portal or by sending a letter to the Rhode Island Supreme Court Clerk's Office. Attorneys who maintain inactive status must register each year with the Rhode Island Supreme Court but are exempt from the Mandatory Continuing Legal Education requirements.
